It's been awhile since we've had a chance to get together with our family. Aside from the fact that we don't celebrate the worldly holidays and birthdays, everyone else is so busy that they don't get together apart from those occasions either. This Saturday was a good night for everyone and I decided to try something different. A fancy dinner on good china, music and get this: absolutely no TV! Instead, we got the teen cousins involved in a good old-fashioned game of Scrabble and handed out surprise gifts to everyone...just because.
Everybody seemed to have a nice time for the fact that we simply got to enjoy one another's company, talking, communicating and doing it despite the fact that it wasn't a special holiday. Everyone usually splits once the 10 o'clock news comes on. With no TV and a good board game going, everyone stayed till past 11!
THE MAESATO COUSINS: There are only four of us...Jon, Steve, me and Samantha
