PAULO WRITES:
Hola Brother, I am of the Congregation of Brazil language of signs, a small town in the interior. We have 23 publishers. 10 hearing and 13 deaf. We had 45 in assistance. 18 hearing and 27 deaf. A deaf brother made the speech. Great blessing of Jehovah.
ADELA WRITES:
Hey Sean it's Adela. Nice to have seen you and your mom in Kona for the assembly. That was truly an encouraging assembly. It was also nice to see a candidate from the spanish that got baptized.
We had a really nice memorial turn out for the Honokaa/Waimea congregation. A blind brother and a sister who made efforts to come although she needed to be kept on an oxygen tank carpooled with me and we drove off to Waimea for the memorial event. It was predicted that there would be a much larger turn out for the memorial if we had it in Waimea, since the majority of public seems to be in that area. Surely enough, it turned out that we had about 22 more in attendance this year as compared to last year when we had it at the Honokaa kingdom hall. Brother Hal Mang gave the memorial talk. We saw many new faces. There was a particular attendee that was easily spotted. He had a green and yellow mohawk in the middle of his head...it almost looked fake. It sure brought a lot of attention to himself. "BUT"...I told myself, 'hey at least he is here...and if he continued to attend who knows someday...the mohawk just might change'...the lesson is that Jehovah draws all SORTS of people and we shouldn't judge by outer experience. There's always room for adjustments in life, and the heart attitude usually comes first before the hair. We can only hope and pray such ones really take to heart the message in the Memorial talk and observation of the significance of the bread and wine. It was cold in Waimea as usual, but with the number of bodies in the Hall, you can be sure it made the place warmer with all the smiles and encouraging hugs and the many little children and parents, families, singles, elderly, sick...all sorts of people that Jehovah is taking care of who is benefiting greatly from Jehovah's love through his son Jesus. :-) Well, hope you enjoyed this experience dear brother and sister.
May Jehovah bless you always![]()

One sister when up to a man and asked him how he liked it and he said "it was very nice thank you for inviting me", the sister is an older so she didn't remember that she was the one that invited him in early morning service. I thought that was funny. It shows that, that is why we have to talk to everybody and let them choose.
TERRI WRITES:
