It's been awhile since my last post because I've been away with Jason and Lambert to attend William and Kate's Royal Wedding in London. See? (Chortle, chortle!) 1
For the particularly gullible, let me just clarify that I'm joking. And for the particularly clueless, let me clarify that those things that look like flesh- colored, ribbon-encrusted toilet seats on our heads are actually photoshopped2 replicas of Princess Beatrice's infamous Royal Wedding hat. Yes, I said "HAT"!! And I thought I was weird.
So no, I've actually been here the whole time. The truth is that I really have no idea as to why I haven't posted anything new the past few weeks. It's not like there haven't been any good photo-ops. In fact, with the big crowds for our CO Visit last week, my now regular Sunday afternoon walks down near scenic Liliuokalani Gardens and yes, even a couple of new plant purchases, you'd think, maybe, perhaps that I'd have managed to snap a few photos of something remotely interesting. But obviously, I've been forced instead, to resort to cheesy photoshop2 images which now that I look at them, aren't really that funny.
But despite the shortage of intelligent photos recently, there definitely hasn't been a shortage of intelligent activity around here. Last month for instance, we've been informed that there were a total of 788 APs on the island, 290 from the West side, 402 from the East side3, and 96 from the Iloko Circuit.
Then, with adrenaline still running high, we had a total of 187 for the post- Memorial special talk. It turned out alright, I suppose, although truthfully, it was over and done with even before I realized I was on stage.
Then, before crazy Princess Beatrice even had a chance to flush her hat, we were in the middle of our CO visit which saw a peak attendance of 188. Another blink of an eye, and Gary was gone. Just like that. And here I am. With no pictures. Sigh.
